Grundge is in the area of alternative, but not all alternative is grundge. Most of the groups you've posted are more alternative, the rest are the ones that couldn't be classified musically. No way are the talking heads grundge....the forefathers of alternative, maybe. RATM is definitely not grundge, but other than that i agree with what you said. Good music regardless.
