-edit: i decided to change the tone of my critique-
The way he argues is inherently flawed and childish, and his scholarship is just plain atrocious. i'm going to offer some counter points to this "documentary". give me some time though. I want to try to be somewhat thorough.

As far as my knowledge goes, Jesus did exist. Whether he was the son of God or not is another story.

How do you draw the conclusion that jesus absolutely existed. There are plenty of deitys that match him in dif religions. Im not sayin there wasn't a very wise man named jesus Im just sayin that everything we know can be symbolic. This documentary brings up good points.

We know Jesus existed because he exists in the writings of Roman governors and other contemporaries. The Roman historian Josephus, who was no slouch, thought it fit enough to discuss him like a real person as well. I'm not claiming he was a deity or wise or anything beyond the idea that he existed.
Also, some historians have speculated that the first 4 books of the New Testament (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John), which were all written well after Jesus' death, were remarkably similar. Whole phrases and paragraphs are the same between the 4 books. This probably meant that the 4 writers were all working from the same primary sources (historians call it "Q"). This "Q" may have been writings by Jesus' hand or at least recordings of his teachings. "Q" has never been found and it all remains speculation.
I'm not claiming anything beyond the fact that Jesus was a human being that existed. If I am proven wrong, so be it. However, this is something I have researched alot in both college and beyond. I will watch the vid and reflect on its claims and post back here.

I stand to be corrected on anything, so if I see some valid info that contradicts what I say, I will acknowledge it.

The people who claim Jesus did not exist are on the opposite end of the same spectrum as those who believe he did exist and was the son of God or even God himself. It is a failure to come to terms with what we actually know about Jesus, which is not a heck of alot.
