Come on. I mean, you might not know songs by name or anything but you have to admit classical music has some pretty good stuff going on. And alot of talent.

Yeah alot of people in the hip hop community sample classical music. Some metal bands do. Its all just very strong musically so it can make any song that much stronger, no matter what genre..

Wagner is tops. Flight of the Valkyries, while played out a little by things such as Apocalypse Now (kick ass movie) and Bugs Bunny, is one of the most insanely Bad Ass songs ever composed.

Beethoven has alot of great music too.

I can appreciate some classical music

I specially like Pachelbel - Canon in D

Here's a cool guitar version :

Dr Octagon made a beat with this melody.

Musical talent has been on a steady decline since Beethoven and the boys. Instead of amazing Symphonies you get laffy taffies. Classical is also something I sample from. I also tend to like to put a lot of movie scoring elements into beat making.

if you really like classical and big band shit go here Wiel's Time Capsule (in an Electric Storm) (http://www.wiels.nl/blog/) and grab Brandenburg Big Band Classics in rhythm. Its a fusion of classics and big band jazz type shit. awesome album
Beethoven is actually the greatest composer there ever was and ever will be. Bach is a close second.

lately i listen to alot of Stravinsky's Rite of Spring. Best Ballet music ever...shit caused riots

I quite like Debussy.. but it's not too often i put on classical. I like listening to it on the radio though. It's soothing.
