50 Cent believes the hip hop game is currently stale, so he’s prepping an entire lineup of G-Unit releases to feed the streets’ hunger.
Comment 50 told MTV.com that Mobb Deep’s album, Blood Money, is scheduled for an April 11 release for now, though it may be pushed back to clear all samples.
From there G-Unit will roll out with releases from Lloyd Banks and tentatively Young Buck, who has completed his next release.
Fif’ believes hip hop is in a creative stalemate, largely due to the South, making G-Unit’s presence in hip hop even more necessary.
"A lot of the music that comes out of the South is kind of simplified and I think it's kinda 'cause they just wanna have a good time," 50 told MTV. “But when they don't take the time to make it the highest quality possible, it hurts the actual hip hop [genre].
"They'll lower the grade of music."
As for himself, 50 said he was eyeing a July 18 album release for his next LP, but Eminem stepped in and told him to wait. No tentative release date has been given for 50’s next album as of press time.

Cam'ron sounds nothing like 50cent. I'm sure there is just as much variety in southern rap. People who don't listen to any rap at all say all rap sounds the same.. there's probably a parallel to be drawn from that.

Most pathetic rapper of our time. He should be refered to as nothing more than a promoter. Dubbing him an emcee is outrageous.

what about "in the club". i never could imagine a hiphop song about being in a club... what kindof incredibly astute mind could think of something so groundbreaking and creative?

a very educated observation.
simplicity in hip hop is unillateral across the globe(at least the US from what i have personally heard)
people will say the south sounds simple, because commercial music is often simple, and the south is heavy in commercial rotation.
Iv'e heard some good down south cats.a few underground things here and there.
alot of fans today don't apreciate concepts, rhyme schemes, thought provoking content.they appreciate something easy to understand, and dance, have fun to.
Juelz Santana is a perfect example of a simple sounding East Coast artist. Why do you think alot of rappers who put out mixtapes, sound alot iller then on there albums?i'll give Lloyd Banks credit in that department.and Fabolous.album wise, no thank you.
