YouTube links are like this:
youtube.com/watch?v=ajFVA-1AlQY

Copy the part after the v= and then put it in tags.

Don't put too many of them in a thread or it'll take way too long for the page to load.

=================================

YouTube links are like this:
youtube.com/watch?v=ajFVA-1AlQY

Copy the part after the v= and then put it in tags.

============================

HOW TO USE
go to this site Metacafe Video (http://www.metacafe.com/) and find a video you want to post, now below your selected movie you will see this "Embeddable Player"
Now in that string of code which will look like this:

<embed src="http://www.metacafe.com/fplayer/224484/spongebong_hemppants.swf" width="400" height="300" wmode="transparent" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"></embed><br><font size = 1><a href="http://www.metacafe.com/watch/224484/spongebong_hemppants/">Spongebong Hemppants - video powered by Metacafe</a></font>
You need to cut and paste this part of the code between the BB tags ([.mv] and [./mv] without the .'s) "224484/spongebong_hemppants.swf". It is always the part after "fplayer/".

=================================

video.google.ca/videoplay?docid=7068156548791062103

To use it put the part after docid= into [gv] tags. Only one per thread please.

=================================

ps. The reason why sometimes you are asked to log in when sometimes put up sanctum links in here is because some people include a "www." in their url and others don't. sanctum.bowrd.com and www.sanctum.bowrd.com are recognized as two different domains (even though they aren't), and that's why you're asked to log in.

Do all youtube vids pre load on the page before you even press play? If so they should change that to load when the play button is selected to limit bandwidth. It would be an advantage on their part.

I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure that only a screenshot of a video is loaded, and then when you press the play button, the rest of the video starts downloading. It wouldn't make sense for them to do it any other way.

So if only a screenshot is loaded why do you ask us to limit?

Put a shitload of them on a page and see for yourself.

I just quoted one of furst's post with an embedded video in it to see what he did and I copied him and it worked.

Hooray!!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mVDOpbJF8IU

So why is it that the embeddable link works for sigs and not post content? Fucking weird, right?

I don't understand what you mean. What doesn't work?

What I mean is that I just copied and pasted the embeddable link from a you tube video when i edited my sig and it showed up fine. But if I copy and past the link in a post it looks like this: <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/DEqmC1q9Sow"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/DEqmC1q9Sow" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

So I have to do the http://www.youtube.com/watch?v= thing to get it to show up, like this:
