MASTODON To Perform On 'Late Night With Conan O'Brien', Open For TOOL

MASTODON will make its first national television appearance on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" on November 1. With a Wednesday night viewership of 2.4 million, this is major television exposure for the Atlanta fan favorites, whose critically acclaimed Reprise Records debut album, "Blood Mountain", has sold 33,00 copies in the United States since its release two weeks ago.

Immediately following their appearance on "Late Night", MASTODON are off to Europe to begin a tour opening for rock behemoths TOOL, with stops across Europe at major arenas. "We are honored and elated to be joining TOOL for their European tour," the band said in a statement. "Having the privilege to share the stage with such an inspiring and admirable artist will truly will be a unique experience for MASTODON — a dream come true."

i saw them at ozfest 05 in hartford, ct. i thought they were pretty good. I like their first album "leviathon" this new one is not all that great.

Leviathan is their second album, Remission being the first. Try giving Blood Mountain a few more listens, its a great album.

I saw masterdon umm about 4 months ago and they were fucking awsome!

I was lucky enough to catch them at Download Festival last year ('05) and I'd never heard any of their stuff, I left a very happy man, possibly band of the weekend for me.
