When Max Cavalera and his brother Igor were reunited in August 2006 for the first time in 10 years, the former SEPULTURA bandmates decided to enter a rehearsal room in Phoenix, Arizona to jam out a few of the group's biggest songs with a view towards the inevitable reunion of the band's classic lineup. The top-secret rehearsal sessions were filmed and a sample of the footage has now been posted online at YouTube.com. The Argentinian band of kids whose rendition of the SEPULTURA classic "Refuse/Resist" was used by BLABBERMOUTH.NET in a spoof news story (http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=59919) about a SEPULTURA reunion was featured on the front page (http://www.clarin.com/diario/2006/10/21/portada.jpg) of today's (Saturday, October 21) edition of Clarín, the biggest newspaper in Argentina. According to YouTube.com, the group's "Refuse/Resist" clip has been viewed more than 1.3 million times so far.
The unnamed band of brothers, which unofficially goes by the moniker "GAUCHOS SALTA", is based in the Argentinian state of Salta, which is located in the north, near the Bolivian border. The members of the group are:
Bass: Martin Jorge (10 years old)
Drums: Agustin Jorge (11)
Guitar: Emilio Jorge (14)
According to the Clarín article (http://www.clarin.com/diario/2006/10/21/sociedad/s-04801.htm), the band shot the video because their father wanted it to be shown on "Showmatch", an Argentinian TV program. But the clip never aired, so he decided to put it on the Internet instead.
According to the article, the family is very poor. They are now getting calls from all over the world.
